TOURMALINE URBAN LOFTS . Bentonville, Arkansas

Architect/Developer

Ecologically responsible principles inform TOURMALINE URBAN LOFTS’ design and construction, including all-electric high efficiency fixtures and appliances; local and sustainable materials; onsite retention and reuse of rainwater for irrigation; careful integration of landscape with the buildings for shading and privacy screening. The fifteen townhome lofts attracted diverse buyers with common desires: become friends with neighbors, enjoy Bentonville’s burgeoning cultural, culinary, and natural attractions by bike/foot, customize the open-plan homes, reduce energy consumption. At the heart of this residential pocket development is a lush natural landscape. In all four seasons the grounds are blooming and fruiting, a habitat for local birds and insects and gathering place for people.

Developed as picture RED in partnership with Caitlin Kelley.

Baumann & Crosno Construction was General Contractor.
